Living Life as Jayden's Mommy….

Well it was the best of times and the worst of times… lol. Just kidding. It was a relaxing week. Hubby was very attentive and I wasn’t much help around the house so I rested. I guess I never thought I wouldn’t be able to bend over anymore but it is becoming more of a struggle.

We did go house hunting and I fell in love with an open kitchen concept and it is now on the list as = non-negotiable and a NEED. Hubby has found a house that is extremely high priced that he likes so WHEN (positive thinking and praying) I get my position in Mobile we can reevaluate finances and options and negotiate the price with a lower offer and maybe we will get it.

I returned to work today and it was not a bad day. I had one rowdy class and once I reminded them that we had things to do and they would suffer consequences more than I- they settled right down.

I had a nice discussion with my Mother-in-Law too that I will not rehash since I have shared with Mrs. T. from work and Smidgen in emergency phone calls. I guess we have come to the conclusion it is a power struggle. Which is dumb because duh- my house, my hubby, my rules- I win hands down. Don’t MIL’s know that DIL (daughters) have a lot of power and can make life worse for them??? I mean geesh- use some common sense. I didn’t appreciate her tone nor her words nor the fact that I had to defend her son who is currently giving her money to her. I do not like for people to tell me to step up to the plate in an area when they have fallen behind in several of their own areas- it is just tacky!!!! GRRRR… anyway bottom line is that I don’t have much to say to her, my hubby and his ex will be making decisions about their daughter and hubby and I will be making decisions about Jayden and that is how that will work. It is not up for discussion. Furthermore it is not MY responsibility to take care of a child that I never see nor hear from, especially when she has a Mother who has done a not so bad job with her up to this point! *Blood pressure rising*
Anyways- there is no competition between children. If my child needs something then I will go without so that he can have because that is what a real Mother does- I can’t control what other people do.

My Seniors only have 27 days left of class (excluding weekends) that is exciting because I only teach 1 class after that! I have a dr. appointment Thursday and get my 4d pic or whatever it is that cost me $150 on sale (I think I was under the influence of shock from finding out I was pregnant or something when I agreed to pay for that and got hubby to go 1/2) but I will attempt to scan that and post. I think he has Daddy’s head and nose. I will cry if it does not resemble me at all… I mean geesh can I get a feature… of course the brain power thing he is covered on! I am soooo modest!

Ok it is late and my baby is moving funky. Every time he rolls or moves his arm fast or something I get that “lost your tummy” feeling so I am going to get him and me to bed so that he can get some sleep. He likes to be up more nowadays- I hope that is not a sign of what is to come… I look forward to a relaxed and peace seeking child.. lol

That is all… there isn’t anymore.

Well my dr. appt revealed I have a bladder infection. It is nothing to be too concerned about and I got medication to clear it up in 7 days so that is a good thing. I got an ultrasound because I have a fibroid and my Mom and me both wanted to make sure we had a Jayden and not an Ashlynne. So the nurse gave me 2 shots of his “wee wee”. Let’s just say his Daddy would be proud of it! So then the doc told me that I would have to go to her every 2 weeks. They found another had bump and they think it is another fibroid yet it does not show all of the symptoms. I was getting the baby’s size checked but didn’t get exact measurements for my scrapbook page. But I think I saw on my chart that he weighs 2.5 pounds… I think that is a bit much so I will have to ask and make sure next time. I did record my ultrasound and during it… she focused on his face and we could make out his eyes, nose and mouth. He looked squinty as he had his feet up by his head. He did not like us peering into his world and just turned his head the other way. It was cute! Next time I go, I will have my sugar checked and then  after that I will get my 3-D ultrasound (31 weeks). I am currently 27 weeks and still plan to carry to term- 40 weeks! I am also a whopping 122.2 pounds- the most ever! People have been so nice… saying I am showing a little… I am thinking, “Are you blind???” But hey it could be worse.. I could be huge to myself AND others… so I will remain grateful. My next appt. is March 27, 2009 at 3:00 p.m.

I am excited about my upcoming showers- it is always fun to be the center of attention… and I love cake. My work shower is scheduled for April 8th and the other shower for everyone else is scheduled for May 2nd. If you need more info on either just contact me. I am registered at Wal-Mart and Target!

Change is good…. lol… ok I said that to say that once again I have changed baby themes. I have picked blues for the baby gear and I think we are going to stick to some sort of sports theme for the baby room.

Sneak Peak:

Ok so once again, I am open for thoughts. I am pretty sure this will be the final choice. It is a little pricey but I am thinking blue is better than teal and I am not a total brown person.

Things are good at work. AL is gearing up for hiring new principals so hopefully soon they will also begin looking for teachers. I am keeping my fingers crossed and prayers going up. Please pray that God places me where he wants me to be but that he makes a way for my family in the meantime! 

Yep, I am 15 weeks and supposedly the ultrasound can officially tell if it is a boy or girl… whooohooo… So I think I am going to ask about the 3d ultrasound and see if I can get the 50% special ($150- $200) … hmmm… hubby said it was cool so I am excited. Yes, it is expensive but heck that is why hubby does gigs for extra $ AND I do extra workshops.

I also totally executed Kaitlyn’s gift- she is getting about 25-35 DS games- so psyched. Got it for $35. If anyone else needs to get DS games (brand new ones too) I have a cousin that can get them and put them on a chip for  next to nothing. Average is less than $1.5o per game!!!! So just e-mail him at antesquire@hotmail.com and title the e-mail: Want to buy DS games. He accepts paypal for payment and you will NOT be disappointed! I totally forgot to get 2 other things hubby asked for a LONG time ago so I need to make a trip to a local store and then do some research for the other gift. If sis doesn’t handle my Papa then I am going to have to cover that too but then I am done… whoohooo!

Well the rest of life is filled with bathroom breaks, eating, taking naps, sleeping on my side, finding clothes in my closet that fit since I am pretty much all tummy, and working. Not a whole lot but it is good. I am currently reading to my lil’ one- studies show that helps I.Q. and all… yes, that is sooo the teacher in me! And I am shopping on ebay to get books- I am loving Dr. Seuss and I am seeing great deals. If I get any, I will definitely share my find.

Ok well that is all I have. 3 more days of work! Whooohoooo!
