Thoughts on Christmas…

Merry Christmas from us to you!!!!
Well Christmas Day was different…. I was not at my parent’s for the first time in 25+ years. I got hubby several nice gifts. For those interested in knowing… here is the list:
1. GPS Navigation System
2. 2 Pair of Flannel Pajama Pants (Old Navy)
3. 3 Shirts (dress for work)
4. 3 Pants (to match the shirts- I am all about outfits)
5. A car adapter with 3 plugs
6. Jerry McGuire DVD
7. A tie
So… as you can see I did quite well. My parents got him a REALLY nice Bible too!
I gave hubby my list and he waited until Christmas Eve Day to go shopping so of course everything on my list was unavailable by then. Needless to say, I did get one of the books on my list- What to Expect When Expecting (2008) and then hubby also got me a foot spa (I had asked for that a while back and he remembered). That is all. I was ok at first and then I was bothered that there was not more thought put into Christmas and cried. I was a little hormonal that day anyway. I wanted to go home to my Mom… lol.
We finally ended up at his Mom’s where I had some lima beans (2 helpings), turkey (real good) and stuffing (I was so hungry I ate it but I don’t care for it). That was all there was and I was starving later. At my Mom’s we usually have a spread and there is always plenty to go back the 2nd time and get all the stuff that wouldn’t fit on your plate the 1st time. But it was cool. I hung out with my 7 month old nephew Ty who loved his TeeTee (that is me). I think we are going for Aunt TeeTee and Uncle J. Anyway he left his Mom and played with me for 2 days- it was great. I got in my practice and a little advice from his Mama too (new Mom). He was a wonderful baby and since he loved me so much everyone is almost certain I am having a girl. I want a little girl and so does Kaitlyn. We told her she was having a little brother or sister and she wants a sister.
Well hubby did end up writing me a check for a chunk of change for maternity clothes and then when I got home to my parents- they got me a bunch of clothes and then my Dad gave me some cash to get more clothes. So Saturday we went to the mall and I shopped! $240 later I am content with all of my maternity clothes that I now have. I do not plan to shop anymore. I also got 2 bottles from there. So… all you friends reading if you buy from Motherhood say it is your 1st time shopping there and get the gift bag- samples, coupons, and a free bottle with linings are WONDERFUL for us New Moms!

4 months pregnant!
On the next update, I will leave a pic of all my wonderful maternity clothes. In the meantime I will leave a pregnant picture of myself at 4 months.
Enjoy:
Crawling in a Hole…
Yes, I am thankful this season for my husband, parents, family, job, food, etc… However, I still just want to crawl in a hole and sleep… actually I would like to hibernate for the winter. During this hibernation- I would not have to eat or go to the bathroom- ever until Spring! Ok that is my blurb. Smidgen understands all about cutting oneself off from society- she is a pro!!! I have NEVER known anyone that can just disappear 6 months! But she has managed. lol…
Well it is very disturbing that 2 of my 10th grade students- one in my homeroom and one in my Psych class have disappeared. I am guessing they ran away from home. I hate it for them. To think that life at home is soooo bad that they want to run away. I had a couple of friends leave their homes and they just went to friend’s houses to stay for a few days before eventually moving back but as far as high school- we all pretty much just dealt with the parentals. I do hope that my child and I have the understanding that my parents had… I was “supposed” to do certain things and in return I got what I wanted. I got good grades, scholarships, and called in at curfews (I NEVER made curfew after age 16- it was a suggestion- I was a responsible kid!) In return, I got money, allowance, freedom, & a car. At 16, I was living the life let me tell you… okay well through age 21 I was… lol… FSU was a time for school, friends, and partying. Oh those were the days.
Ok so life is okay now just a little more stressful… I am eagerly awaiting the sex of the baby. I am just going to call it a girl still since the people at work were offended that I called it an “it”. Ugh!!!
This is the last week of work and next week is Christmas… whoooohoooo!!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Yes, I had a marvelous one and hope that all my readers did too. I have not been blogging lately because there has not been much going on, nor have I always felt up to it.
Thanksgiving was spent with my side of the family, hubby, and at my aunt’s house. The food was good and I did not eat quite as much as I wanted but enjoyed it all the same. I was scheduled to make some mac & cheese but my Mom got up and made it instead. Oh well…
Well now I am with hubby at our place. There is no food here and I am not feeling Wal-Mart so I am glad that I brought some things from home. He is being good because I am extra grouchy. I have a slight headache, tummy has been flipping all day- not sure if it is not full, little bit is flipping or what but it is not the “best” feeling. I tried to take my beloved vitamins the other day and about lost it. So I am trying a smaller pill but it is no use- my gag reflex is horrible right now. I guess I am going to take my cousin’s advice and take 2 Flintstones a day until it gets better. I freaked hubby out today. He heard me in the bathroom after my failed attempt to take my vitamin. He came running and hollering. lol… then he asked the most important question… did you make it to the bathroom in time for all of it? I laughed and told him that I had caught it so there was no extra cleanup… honestly I think we were both relieved.
This might be my grossest post ever but some people like the gory details and heck- it is my blog… I can write what I want!
I am still thinking about a new home but we might wait until mid next year and reevaluate the markets because things are suppose to be cheaper.
Well I have chosen a boy name just in case… Jaden Jermaine. Yes, the dreaded JJ for short I am sure- ugh! But I have also decided that if I have 2 girls I will have a Kaitlin, Ashlynne, and then a Jadyn Ann. I have also considered these spellings: (for a girl) Jadynne & Jadynn.
I have done some Christmas shopping. Due to my condition- feeling sick and being annoyed easily.. I have decided to suck it up and get online and just pay shipping. It is fun having stuff delivered anyway. I have my hubby squared away… he reads my blog so I am not at liberty to say what I got him but it is something that was discussed between us. I have also covered Ms. Tally- my lil sis. I can’t say what I got her because she sometimes reads too but I think she will have a special appreciation for the gift. Heck, it is really hard to buy for someone that has everything! I am clueless about my Mom although she mentioned a Bible- I am thinking top of the line! I think I am going for nice name brand tops for my Dad. I always buy clothes for hubby too so I am sure he will get a couple of nice pieces. I have purchased a present for myself as well from Victoria’s Secret. Yes, I will wrap it and open it and pretend to be shocked for pics! lol..
I think I am going to borrow my Mom’s Christmas tree this year and then I will buy one after Christmas for us. I am loving the white trees but you would think I was making a huge mistake according to my Mom who does not want her grandchild to have not only a fake tree but a fake white tree. She “hates” them. So… I am undecided but in the long run I will buy what I want because that is what I do. I do me and my hubby does not care like that. He wants a real tree- but they are too much work and um… well let’s be honest… I am not into all that. I want pretty and easy.
We still have to make a list of all the gifts to get… we pretty much buy for people who are in our presence on Christmas Day. So, I am buying for parents, grandparents, and sister, and hubby. He will have to get for his Mom and Grandma, daughter, uncle, 2 brothers, nephew, sis in law, and aunt and uncle… ugh- the list is too doggone long. Anyway we will have to discuss it and I am thinking gift cards… although we can cut out parents as we buy for children… lol…
Ok well I am sorry it took so long to blog (that is for cousin and smidgen) and I am going to try to be better. On to Suze Orman now… goodnight.
