House Desires…
Yes, this is the current plan for the new home. It is important to have a plan and those that know me know that I am all about planning. I believe you reach goals when you write them down and develop smaller goals that will lead you to the main goal. Just my 2 cents- for what it is worth.
These 10 items are the most important for our 1st and dream home!
- Garage (2 car is good but my car matters the most… lol)
- Kitchen with newer appliances
- KItchen that opens to the living room (the way to get aound this is to have a TV in the kitchen)
- Yard (totally for hubby- guess he wants to do the “mow the grass” thing)
- 3 Bedrooms (Master, office, and Big girl’s room/ guest room)
- Master Suite with Master Bath
- At least 1 regular bathroom
- 1500 square feet
- Nice neighbohood in a desired school district
- Home that will retain and appreciate in value for resale in 3 to 5 years.
I NEED 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with a separate office area (I might want to go in there and do some work!) and then I like the idea of having a huge great room and having a living room as a music area. Although I did not, I do think my children will take music lessons. I have a feeling that they will be “gifted” and test high on I.Q. With their father’s intelligence and thinking out of the box as well as their Mother’s analyzation and excellent follow through, I think they will have the perfect combination.
It is a single story with a side entry garage. And now for the floor plan everyone is dying to see:
Of course it is important to have space between the Master and th 3 bedrooms. More important is the moving of th closets- no way will they be in my bathroom- hello- mold is real! I have heard too many awful stories!
The idea today is OPEN FLOOR PLAN so…. we will have necessary support walls but I am going for openness so that when we do hav little ones we will be able to see them. I am thinking thick walls for the music room just in case several people are entertaining at th same time.
As I come up with more specifics- maybe themes I will continue to add to this post.
lol….of course your car matters most!!I like the idea of a more open floor plan. Three bedrooms is a good number – not too to big to maintain but still enough room to spread out. DEFINATLEY master suite with master bath – totally agree on that one.

That is a nice house desire. I think we both want the same in the house department. I also want a florida room too. No kids room, do not have kids.

OK NOW THE HOUSE THING. YUO MIGHT NEED 3 BEDROOMS, A MASTER BATH, THEN YOU NEED 2 EXTRA BATHS. ONE FOR THE BABY AND ONE FOR GUESTS. NOW YOU WILL NEED A PLAYROOM FOR THE BABY AND TOYS. BABY ROOM NEED TO BE CLOSE TO YOUR ROOM.
