Budget…. 2009
Ok budgets are necessary… so here is my proposal:
- Church Tithes- 10%
- Rent- fixed
- Electricity- varies
- Home phone/ Internet/ Cable- all necessities- YEP- that is what I SAID!
- Groceries- a girl has to eat and I LOVE my name brands- Froot Loops w/ Marshmallows- INELASTIC DEMAND!!!! (that means regardless of the price I am going to get a box!)
- Gas- it is going down but a necessity
- Allowance- I work for a living so I DESERVE it!
- Credit card bill- I have EMERGENCIES
- Savings- 60% of my money goes here—- whooooohoooo ok so perhaps we should talk about the 3 different pots- Home savings, Regular savings, and then Roth savings.
- Car Insurance- yeah another necessity
- Cell phone- Nextel right now but as SOON as I can- it will be Cingular cuz I love them!!!!!!
- Baby stuff- getting a head start on onesies and things but will wait for the showers ultimately. Shower at work is April 8th and shower for everyone else is May 2nd.
- Day Care- I am thinking $100 a week- YIKES!
Ok so what have I been able to alleviate? Well the car payment is gone, the furniture bills are gone (bedroom and livingroom), no student loans, no personal loans, and I realize there must be a balance between saving, spending, investing, and giving money away (church or organizations).
Now if I can get my husband to buy all of this I will be great! 
I THINK THOSE ARE GOOD THINGS FOR BUDGET IN 2008. I WILL HAVE TO PUT THAT ON MY LIST FOR THE END OF 2008 AND THE BEGINNING OF 2009. THE NUMBER 1 IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE OF ALL. THANKS FOR THE BUDGET IDEAS
